I wanted to let you know that Syd Mead will be making a presentation of his work and life successes on North Carolina State’s campus on May 18th.

Syd Mead is a famed author, game developer, visual futurist, cartoonist and film maker. His film credits include Star Trek, Tron, Blade Runner, and Aliens. He has also contributed to numerous games including Wing Commander, Prophecy, Blade Runner, Tron 2.0, and Battlestar Galactica.

This event will consist of a meet and great from 6:00 pm until 7:00 and then a presentation from 7:00 to 8:00. The presentation will be followed by a Question and Answer period and a book and other memorabilia signing session. This event will be held at Witherspoon Theater which is located off of Dan Allen drive.

There will be ample parking behind the studenthealth center and in the Dan Allen Deck garage which are both also located
off of Dan Allen drive. Syd Mead’s new book, Sentury, will be available at this event, and book buyers will have priority for the signing session.

This event is being hosted by the NC State IDSA student chapter and is free to all. If you know anybody else who would be interested in attending this event please forward this on to them.
