i did my integra and civic clutch within a week. not that bad. hardest part was i was doing it alone so i had to use my foot to jack the tranny up and down and use my hands to he man the tranny on.

Those aren't bad at all. This damn MR2 is a plumbing nightmare. I'm having to drain the cooling system to get the water neck and hoses out of the way to get to the top of the tranny.

Honda's only wish they could be this difficult.

my jetta was pretty easy, only real pains in the ass were getting the axle lined back up when putting the trans back in(it was either work around it or remove it), and learning which way to tilt and twist the sumbitch to get in around the subframe...

Transmission is huge. I'm pretty sure this is the same box as in V6 Camry's and whatnot. Talk about tight.

It might have been easier to drop the whole engine/tranny combo.

And my hands are on fire from all the crawfish I ate for dinner.

Oh...and I am goddam worn out.

And not done yet.

Dammit.

Jeepman...get ready to skin some knuckles.

And I'm out. Worn down to the rivets. No scoring the flywheel, though. I dressed that bitch up with some 80 grit. But I left the new rear main seal in my truck...which I left across town when I picked up a Maxima that I'm working on.

yea i changed the vette's again last week...i guess having the tranny in the rear makes it a little easier for me, less weight to mess with when getting things back together around the motor

anyways, yeah, that sucks

actually it took me two days the first time i was putting this shit back together to get the torque tube input shaft thru the clutch and shit...goes a lot easier when you remember to connect the slave cylinder hydraulics so you aren't trying to pick the damn pressure plate up

If it's a Mitsu AWD, then it's cake compared to a Scooby.

had tranny problems with an 89 camry V6 a few years back. Had to take the tranny out like 3 times in a week's time. By the 3rd time, me and my neighbor were down to like 45 minutes to pull that bitch out. Had to take half the engine bay apart to get it to slide out and off the engine.
