parker, detreville, or sack all make good professors for that class, although sack is a little abrasive... dunstan teaches more modern history courses here, but he wrote the book that sack uses for the course so I could also envision him teaching the course during a summer session... never heard of holden though... i thought i knew all the ancient history professors at ncsu. maybe its a visiting prof? or maybe pulled from another department... sosower & packman from classics, jesseph from philosophy, young & a few others from the english department might also know enough to teach it since ncsu sometimes lowers its standards for professors for summer courses especially on intro classes like that.
maybe holden is their new medievalist that they hired in the spring? riddle does ancient & medieval science (as does Sylvia - sp) but I think he retired this semester and was being replaced. 5/21/2006 3:36:24 AM |
