Imagine if he had to play for a college under the new rule. He is the jordan-esque star who will make the NBA popular again.

James is fucking sick. Put his age into it and it's even more amazing.

I really want to see what he's going to do over the next few years.

I thin Kobe could care less about sharing and being a better team player, as far as comparison's to Lebron. Kobe already has three rings, why share the ball? he enjoys being called the most lethal man in the game. Kobe would rather lose taking the shots than win by dishing. He's the most competitve guy in the league but not over winning games. AS far as the analysis of Kobe and Lebron this year, no way the Lakers win more than a game against Detroit in a series, and Lebron was a posssession from beating them 4-2. Kobe's supporting cast is certainly better than Illgauskas, Snow, and Hughes, and it's not even close, all the more reason I'd rather have Lebron

I agree about going deeper against the Pistons but the Lebron DEFINITELY has a better supporting cast than Kobe

i'd probably rather have Lebron though

lmao somebody just said kobes supporting cast was better kobe has odem and thats it. if kobe was traded for lebron the cavs would win the east. lebrons offense is up there but his defense is nowhere near kobe's

youre just wrong everywhere and obviously didnt watch the phx series when kobe was critizicized for not shooting in game 7 and sticking to the sucessful gameplan of going inside.

the 81 point game was a tight game all the way and kobe had to score 81 points to win because nobody else was doing shit and tor used the "let him get his stop everybody else" strategy.

He was criticized because the gameplan was working like complete shit and he still stuck with it. He is a great player who chose one time to listen to his critics when he really should ahve been selfish.

who knows?

kids on the playgrounds nowadays arent trying to be like Michael Jordan...they're trying to be like LeBron James or Dwayne Wade or Kobe...Jordan is far from being forgotten, but so was Dr. J in the 80s

Yeah, I think he could care more.

Lebron isn't a defensive liability, per se, but Kobe is a top defender in the league

they both can score very well, but at this point I'd rather have Kobe anyway because he's 28, and will give the Lakers another 7-8 years of good bball before he starts to decline.

Yep, and from there spawned a new set of critics.

little kids on the playground nowadays didnt even see Jordan play live, at least not for the Bulls

nobody is immortal

talent level sure, although somebody like Russell would be fine nowadays

my point is that you never know

what if Lebron gets 10 titles and averages a triple double one season

Michael Who?

Jordan could become "some old guy who was really good in his day" like Dr. J to people nowadays

no, i disagree, the league is just now getting back to a normal standard....jordan played in the prime golden age of nba, it has to get to that level again to be remembered

and no, dr. j ended his career in the start of that age, thats why he is thought of that way ( wow, i never battle anymore on this site)

every generation has a different defintion of the "golden age of the NBA"

people our age go on what we see, and Jordan was the best in our generation...maybe Kobe/Lebron is the best of the next generation...but you cant just think because Jordan had a great NBA career that he is invincible against somebody becoming better than him

I'm only 26 and yeah Jordan was the best NBA player I've seen, but I also know there are people that saw greats like Chamberlain and Gervin and Earl Monroe play who have different ideas than you or I

dont get hung up with my mention of jersey numbers

i was saying that Bill Russell was an unheardof talent when he played and plenty of people dont know who he is nowadays...sure we do, but we're basketball fans that have studied the history of the game...kids nowadays can relate more to shaq or even david robinson or akeem

how so? Ruths shit wasn't filmed, it all from books. No has as many game winning shots on film, that is what made us want to be jordan when we were kids....geez guys, that is what will be remembered.

ya but the nba did not have a salary cap back then, why the hell do you think boston won every year? 11/13 years in a row, come on. That team fell with the cap and the leagues coming together
