He's kinda like white bread. Everyone is used to it, no one really hates it, but it isn't all that special either.

I own A League of Their Own simply because he's in it.

Walter Harvey: Let me be blunt. Are you still a fall-down drunk?
Jimmy Dugan: Well, that is blunt. Ahem. No sir, I've, uh, quit drinking.
Walter Harvey: You've seen the error of your ways.
Jimmy Dugan: No, I just can't afford it.

I saw him on Letterman one night and Letterman just went through all of the good movies he's been in. It was like 30 or so.

One of my favorite actors.

I can just sink in to Forrest Gump and not even realize that an actor is at work, which is the way its supposed to happen

Ira Lowenstein: "Now, Jimmy, you have some pretty good ballplayers here. You ought to give them a little bit of your--"

Jimmy Dugan: "Ballplayers! I don't have ballplayers, I've got girls! Girls are what you sleep with after the game, not what you coach during the game!" [spits]

Ira Lowenstein: "If we paid you a little bit more, Jimmy, do you think you could be just a little more disgusting?"

Jimmy Dugan: "Well, I could certainly use the money."

The only movies that he did that were pretty bad were The Terminal, The Ladykillers, and That Thing You Do.

Especially The Terminal. The whole movie was so cookie cutter.

Tom Hanks has the uncanny ability to make you forget you've seen him in 20 other movies each time he releases a new one.
