What are the key differences between the two courses besides the fact that py201 is a course for physics majors. Whats the textbook for py201?

i think both series (201-202-203 & 205-208) are calculus-based

i would guess the subject material is a bit different, perhaps more in depth in 201 considering it is the first of a three semester series whereas 205 is the first of a two semester series

^ in a nutshell, yeah. 201 is for physics majors, and it's identical to the 205 course (as is 202 to 208), however, the exams in 201 are the exams in 205 with more detailed (read:harder) problems tacked on at the end. Just take 205 if you can, it's much better than trying to take 201 (and inevitably being over your head, probably).

Oh, and PY203 is equivalent to PY407, IIRC. Just an interesting sidenote.
