I posted this in the main thread too, but I wanted to make sure it got read.

If you are planning to purchase a Duke Lacrosse t-shirt, please hold off for a few days. Friends of Duke Lacrosse is having t-shirts printed up and will be selling them in order to help raise money for legal defense.

I think it would be much better to buy from them - not only do you get a t-shirt, you get to contribute to their legal fund and you get to also avoid lining the pockets of people who are out to make money from what is happening to these men.

I'll keep you updated on when the t-shirts become available for purchase. Thanks everyone.

not saying they don't need lawyers. but why the elite ones that they have? i can't remember exactly, but wasn't one of them on the defense team for bill clinton or something a while back? (might be some other high-profile case, i don't remember exactly)

it would seem that if this woman was simply inventing everything, they could get just about any lawyer, and they'd be just fine.

ok, now its in context. and again, you have got to be kidding me. you do understand that there are awesome and so-so attourneys right? just like there are awesome and so-so doctors? if your life was on the line, would you go to some local med clinic you found on the back of a matchbook? hell no. so why, when these kids lives are essentially on the line, would they hire a cut-rate lawyer? a bad defense, even if you're 100% innocent, can land your ass in jail quick.

I want my Duke Lacrosse t-shirt now. Supply and Demand, it's that simple. As for these guys needing money for their lawyers, they should've considered a lawyer they could have afforded. I don't know whether they're guilty or not, but I don't think they deserve donations from anyone.

And if you strongly believe this is true, and if this is the case, then even a good lawyer could easily prove their innocence. Such a high profile lawyer that cost an exorbitant amount is not needed.
