It seems like it's autosaving every 5 seconds or so. It's irritating as fuck. I'm scanning for viruses now, but I doubt anything is going to be found as it's a work computer and no one ever brings anything from home and net access is restricted like a mofo on that computer.

The autosave feature is still on it's default setting of every 10 minutes.

Any ideas?

And hell, it might not be autosaving, it just decides to lag like a bastard every 5 seconds, but I can't find any reason for it.

I even popped the disk in and told it to repair

i was about to uninstall and re-install the bitch but we were closing

its probably some spy-ware from corporate that is either updating, or whose last update was buggy.

i know it's elementary... but just shutdown the computer and give it about 10 minutes and try it again. If I've been doing a lot of different tasks with MS Office every now and then Word will get so sketchy and I just let it chill out... usually seems to fix itself.
