I want to get a new game for either Xbox or Xbox 360 that has a good CO-OP system that I can play with 1 or more people. I need some recommendations here. I would prefer 1st person or 3rd person action games over sports titles, however, any recommendations would be helpful. Thanks!

For Xbox, I have the following that apply:
Halo 2
Xmen Legends 2
Mortal Kombat Shoalin Monks
NCAA Football 2006
Splinter Cell (the 2 most recent titles)

For Xbox 360 I have the following that apply:
Quake 4
NHL 2k6
Ghost Recon
Fight Night 3

I ended up going out and getting Far Cry: Predator for the 360 simply because its 2 games in 1. Well worth it. No Co-Op but great multiplayer.

I'm a big fan of Sniper Elite. I think it's a lot of fun in both SP and Co-op mode. It's not for everybody though, cuz there's a little bit of waiting and strategy involved for getting through many situations. If you can handle that, I think it's definitely worth taking a look at. You might want to rent it first to make sure it's something you'd like.

the 2k6 basketball games would be great but the dunking is just too much. if you turn dunking sliders down they are great but they are too unrealistic without doing that. still better than eas bball games though.
