i just searched for the threads you've started in the soap box. it listed them back to last september--you've made 1-2 threads in that entire period of time that could even be arguably construed as serious and worthwhile, and 1-2 is being generous and giving you the benefit of the doubt, which I've been doing for quite some time now. you bring nothing to the table and are a deliberate pain in the ass, and if you don't knock your shit off, i will suspend you permanently and recommend your username for termination. you've already been warned multiple times and suspended at least once (maybe more, i can't remember).

This is a real thread about a real event taken from real news; The only trolling in the thread was done by other users.

Many topics in the soap box are informative in nature and don't present much of an argument, the discussion will come from the topic. If there was no discussion the thread would die, and wouldn't be a problem.

That's not it at all. If it's just a matter of annoying me, I either ignore it (for example, any salisburyboy thread) or argue against it (most recently, http://brentroad.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=411709). Finally, racism and anti-semitism (not sure why it's necessary to specify the specific variety of racism, but whatever) certainly draw my ire. Look through stuff I've written on the subject of racism and race relations in the past. Furthermore, I'm probably more pro-Israel than most posters in the Soap Box (although it's pretty relunctant and limited support).



Let's not bullshit here:

A number of you don't like salisburyboy. That's fair enough, and understandable. What's ridiculous is not being satisfied until he is totally banned from the website. What's ridiculous is being a pain in the ass troll and being at least as disruptive as salisburyboy ever was, and FAR MORE annoying than he is now, and doing it quite intentionally, which he never did. What's ridiculous is expecting anyone to believe that you're making serious posts in the process, with no malicious intent.

^well, the current crop of Republicans suck pretty bad.

However, there is an equally high portion of people like you who don't realize how good fiscal conservatism would be for America and think all Republicans are the devil, when in reality they are just sucking about equally with Democrats these days.

furthermore, where are you getting this idea that there are a bunch of cheerleaders for the modern GOP in the Soap Box? I'd say the place is fairly well divided between the left and the right, but the right leaning posters in the Soap Box have an overwhelmingly libertarian lean...not too many have much good to say for the GOP as it stands right now. Maybe you're confusing their (and my, since I'm one of them) disdain for liberalism with support for what the GOP has done for the last 10+ years.
