ive got a serious spyware issue and ive been turned onto hijackthis as a better answer to adaware which seems to be doing NOT SHIT.

i trust that you people are the "folks" i need to differentiate between the good and bad with this program. thanks you guys for the help, pre-emptively.

the entries with lockx.exe indicate the Win32/SDBot-ADD worm.

before digging thru this, its usually easier to disable system restore, boot to safe and run 3-4 scanners (adaware, windows defender, spybot etc). If that doesn't take care of it then it makes sense to spend time with things like this.

damn...i assume you've looked thru your msconfig list and unchecked nearly everything and looked over your installed program list and uninstalled everything you dont use or looks suspect.
