Is there any local source for watercooling stuff, aka a pump? The pump on the kingwin artic i had died, tiger direct has nothing in stock, order only, and my current make it work is using a fish tank pump running off of house current, and it is sitting in a 1 gal jug pushing coolant.

yeah, i figured that would be the case, was jsut hoping to find somebody local who still caried parts, looks like i am just going to buy a slightly better model 110 aquarium pump localy and fab a tank for it inside the case. Seeing as how the one i am using now cost me under $10 , and another 5 in fittings and tubing to pipe it into the case, its not worth 60-70 for a new 12vdc in case pump. not when i can get a 1/2 in barb 350 or so gph one locally for half that.

I was just in panic mode not wanting to dig out an old hsf combo till the parts could be ordered. That and not wanting to have a external tank like the current temp setup has.

about the only reason i water cooled to start with is to reduce noise. It was quieter for the same temp levels than the multiple fans i had running before.

you would've saved a couple hundred bucks just getting a Zalman and a couple of ball bearing, low speed case fans.

You still have to have fans on the radiators with watercooling, if your aircooled setup was louder, it's human error.

couple hundred bucks? Counting the pump and mess i jsut had to buy, i have spent all of 60 on this stuff, including the intital setup, coolant mix, ect. It would be different if i had a huge system, but a dinky littel all in one like i had is cheap. Heck, they sell for 70-80 NIB still. A LOT cheaper if you buy used.

Ok so I went and looked it up.

89.99 at tigerdirect. And several hundred complaints about it all over the internet. Pump failing, leaking lines, terrible cooling, the "radiator" is almost non-existant. Jeeze.

ick. It's probably partially closed mindedness on my part, but I absolutely refuse to use water-cooling. I'd be far too worried something would leak and ruin my machine. I couldn't imagine trying to make warranty claims for something like that. All the companies would point you back to whoever made the watercooling device (as they should), and they'd probably say you agreed you couldn't hold them liable upon installing the device.

I learned the hard way that without a seperate psu for watercooling, the added stress will blow your psu. I was doing it for overclocking power, not noise reduction and had 2 tornados on my radiator. I left for 4th of july, came home, and the fireworks were inside my computer. $800 later I was back to air cooling

well, sucky though it may be, it currently stays around 35 c processor with no fan running, jsut the pump, once i start to load the pc up the fans cut in and it stays under 38 at full load
