I'm semi experienced in auto repair, but have never needed to replace this. Any one got any heads up for me? How long it should take, what's the best way to get to it. I think it's gonna take a while...thankfully it's a $10 part. 6/5/2006 9:22:42 AM |

Mayhap you state which engine you have. The 2.0/2.3/2.5 are all QUITE a bit different from the V6s. 6/5/2006 10:11:17 AM |

i'd say closer to 3-4 hours, fan shroud, fan, water pump, and alternator come off, lay the ps pump and compressor to the side, remove the bracket, pull the balancer (not too hard on those, most of the time you can walk it off with a couple pry bars), and unbolt the cover. 6/5/2006 1:54:15 PM |

It's been a really long time since I've actually looked at a Cologne V6 up close, but I think the oil pan should bolt up under the timing cover too. Or does it? I know it's not like a small block V8 where you have a channel-type gasket that requires dropping the oil pan... 6/5/2006 2:16:08 PM |
