i've got a canes jacket, but i wanted a t-shirt to show some support here in charlotte, where nobody cares about the canes. couldnt find a single thing. dick's sporting goods, i asked the lady if they had any canes stuff, and she asked, "who?" i restrained myself from striking her.

try the Official Canes store in the RBC Center. it's on the right side of the main entrance area that faces the stadium.

i rarely watch games when they're playign well... because when i watch they seem to lose...
i broke my rule for the last few playoff rounds... and they've won anyway...
what can i say, hockey's a superstitious sport and i bought into it... just glad i can watch again...

still not gonna risk going to a game though...

I like the redneck hockey label. Everyone talks shit about us anyway for being rednecks who dont know shit about hockey, so why not celebrate the redneck part to shut them up?

because it's not redneck hockey...
find a redneck on our team...
i'ts regular hockey being played in the south, and there's nothing wrong with that...

if you want redneck hockey, go to fayetteville or wherever the Icecaps moved to...
this is real hockey

Ok, before football season student X says the team is going to suck ass. But the team actually does good and then student X cheers for them.

Is this an example of Bandwagoning?

i think it depends. i mean if the student is trying to be realistic, but still goes out there and supports the team no matter what, and goes to every game, then no it wouldn't be considered bandwagoning.

i have no expectations this year in football, but one thing's for sure, i'll be at every home game and possibly some away games.

I think I need a clearer definition of Bandwagoning before I define myself as such. I drank 1 Sam Adam Lite last night and was clearly not thinking straight when I made this topic

i kinda enjoy the redneck hockey lable b/c it includes the few carolina fans that go as rednecks too. Know those pansy bitches gotta love that.

And im not really jumping on the bandwagon seeing as how i went to about 5 regular season games, right?

if you went to at least one regular season game, or watched at least 2 regular season games on tv i won't consider you a bandwagoner. i went to i think 3 games this past year (which were during the middle of the week) and watched a number of games on tv. i'll admit that i wasn't a diehard fan, but i did keep up with them.

the team needed as much support this year as ever, considering the circumstances of coming back from a lockout.

oh and i've watched every playoff game so far.

I went to one game earlier on in the season, and the second game I watched was on Monday. I fully admit that I'm a bandwagon fan. I was on the bandwagon in '02 when we were in the cup, and i jumped back off as soon as it was over. I'm on it again now, and i'll be off it again until the next time we're in the playoffs.

I'm just not that big of a hockey fan, but I do enjoy the excitement of the postseason.

I went to 5 games, 3 of which happened to be against teams the 'Canes already beat in the playoffs.

I gave up the Blackhawks when the Hurricanes went to Greensboro. I don't believe I'm a bandwangoner

i've been on the fence for a NHL team ever since i moved to NC years ago. The lockout made me curse its name for sake of all the true fans out there.

however during the Montreal series, i came around. And during Game 6 of the Canes loss to Buffalo, I swore off my allegiance to any NY hockey team, and now fully a Canes fan. It was that stinging feeling of hate for all the Buffalo fans that you get when we lose to UNC or to a piss poor NCAA team that goes about celebrating like they won the Super Bowl. That did it for me.

FUCK NJ and FUCK THE RANGERS!

GO CANES!!

Well, there you go.

I met a lot of smart hockey fans just sitting in the stands of a game.

Met some idiots, too.
