I've been using Eclipse for Java development, and decided it's time to start learning C and C++ also. Any suggestions on the best IDE for MacOS X?

I've never done any real programming on a Mac before, so this may not apply. I've heard many good things about Apple's XCode.

You can download the newest version for free, or get a version off your OSX CD. I have it installed just so I could get gcc.

haha yeah I had that installing in the background while I was posting here. I was just wondering if anyone had other preferences that weren't part of the Eclipse framework

[Edited on June 7, 2006 at 2:14 PM. Reason : I'll try and dabble with Xcode, thx joe]

SlickEdit for Mac OSX is a possibility, although I do prefer Eclipse

CDT is gay. Xcode is better.

Your best option is to reboot in windows and use VisualStudio.
