Cooper is an awesome shih-tzu/pekingnese mix dog that was surrendered by his elderly owners. When the rescue volunteers picked him up he was covered in ticks so badly they had to shave his fur off to get them all. We're talking about hundreds of ticks.
Cooper weighs about 19lbs and is very friendly. He's up-to-date with everything. There is a fee, probably of $150.

i think he's quite cute. where are all those people that want a "designer dog?" he could be a Peka-tzu! 6/10/2006 10:41:32 AM |

haha well unfortunately those people also want the designer dog from puppyhood. SPARR (rescue I'm fostering through) was at AniMall to advertise the dogs we have, and this girl actually asked me if we had a teacup pomeranian. I mean really....we're a rescue and have all these mutts here and she asked that. I had to laugh when she left. It's remotely possible to find something like that (and I did see a labradoodle yesterday on petfinder with a rescue) but extremely unlikely unless a rescue was fortunate enough to rescue it from a puppy mill. 6/10/2006 1:12:56 PM |

bttt for Cooper. He loved sitting on my lap at the last adoption event I attended. He is housebroken, btw. I can't think of anything else, except that he's adorable. 6/11/2006 10:49:47 AM |

awwww he looks like the dog I had growing up...she was a full-blooded Shihtzu though...her name was Gadget...great dog...good luck helping to find him a home...
also, for anyone interested in adopting a dog like this, remember that these dogs (along with any long-haired dogs) are prone to hotspots on their skin. You have to take extra care with their fur or keep their hair cut short (that's what we did with Gadget). 6/15/2006 1:46:34 PM |
