there was an article in the paper a few days ago about that...

downtown raleigh has a lot of construction going on...they said this could be the biggest moment for raleigh but it comes at the worst possible time.
they also said they considered glenwood but it was too small for the amount of people they expected...

it would have been awesome if it was held on Hillsborough St. b/c of all the restaurants and bars and such. have a big block party.

^^exactly. turn it into the way it was in 83 where they had a big party out on the brickyard. it's a huge area, that many in Raleigh have a connection to.

umm...the brickyard has a huge chunk of real estate missing. construction is ruining our stanley cup party!
