45-50. Used to get overtime, now I'm salaried, damn stupid LAW.
I'm about 3 weeks behind but I refuse to work any more and sacrifice time with my family. As it stands now I get to see my daughter for an entire 2 hours after I get home and before she goes to bed. 6/15/2006 6:11:37 AM |

40...OT has to be approved or requested by an attorney...otherwise if you work OT, you're off the clock. you can work over to make up PTO though, but it has to be done on the same week you're taking time off. 6/16/2006 8:03:07 AM |

and by that I mean working less than 50 hrs when you have 50 hrs worth of work to do.
That's my problem to, I end up holding peoples hands for half my day.

oh, i forgot about the 30ish minutes early everyday, i dont get paid for that, that is just getting everything ready(check messages, see if I got any faxes, call people that were suppose to provide info that didnt, make a priority list, etc). I was tempted to work today(and get OT) but i need one day a week to be away from the office.
Hopefully, Monday, i will get lots done....this past Fri and Sat seemed I was talking on the phone all day with clients requesting additional info because they never provide all i need. HOPFULLY, that will be provided on Monday and Monday will be a good day(so I can mark off a few of the priority files).

I work a 73.5 hour work cycle at my full time job, that is 3 24.5 hour shifts every 9 days. Work, off, work, off, work, off 4 days, repeat. Now of those 73.5 hours I "volunteer" for 24 hours, thus only really getting paid for 49.5. There are times that I can get paid for those "sleep time" hours but they are few and far between, basically we have to be up all night for a month. Our overtime is based on a 240 hour cycle. If we work over 240 hours (paid normal work being from 0730-2330 and 0700-0800 the next day) in a 28 day cycle then we get overtime. Now if we work over or get held over we accrue comp time at 1.5 for the whole 24.5 hours, so basically 2 days off (we only take 17 hours for each day off). confused? sure you are, it's really not that bad. In addition to those hours add that to usually 20-30 hours a week at my part time job (M-F only)
and I still manage to have 2-3 days a week off typically 6/21/2006 5:12:58 PM |
