I heard Rooney is going to play as well from Sky News on FSC before the Canes game but they've been wrong before..

I heard on Sky two days ago that Rooney was cleared and would play, then this morning I heard that Sir Alex's independent doctors wouldn't be in Germany until after the T&T game so he wouldn't play.

Either way I think it would be daft of Sven to play Rooney this early in the World Cup unless he is needed. I think Crouch and Owen will be more then enough to handle T&T's defense.
