And I cried a little. Man I want to play that game again. Someone find me a copy in a bargain bin somewhere. 6/16/2006 3:34:14 PM |

If you don't care about having a "piece of videogame history," I'm sure you could easily find a used copy of the Greatest Hits version at a number of stores. I mean, this was one of the most popular titles of its day, I'm sure there are copies floating around. 6/16/2006 3:38:35 PM |

Not in rocky mount.
I checked all the retail stores, then the EBgames and GameCrazy booths.
Amazon to the rescue.

59 bucks? That's retarded. Maybe you could find a PC version for less.

I picked up a cheap copy a couple of years ago (to replace the PC version I originally played).
Shouldn't be that hard to just find a used Greatest Hits version. 6/16/2006 5:00:03 PM |

you can definetly get the pc version through torrents with ease. Actually, I'm sure you could download the playstation version off of torrents too and either burn it or use an emulator. 6/16/2006 5:12:07 PM |

glad i kept my PS1 stuff. even that greatest hits (what i have) sells for like $45-50 on ebay. my copies of FF8 and FF9 aren't greatest hits, but i guess people dont want those games as bad. 6/16/2006 5:46:26 PM |

there should be at least 5 copies of ff7 at any eb or gamestop in the country for under $10. that game was mass produced like fuck, it's not at all rare.
edit: well damn, it looks like they might've jacked the price up. just get a torrent of the discs and play it on an emulator.

i modded my original ps1 so i just have backup copies of FFVII and all those. although i just "inherited" my brothers videogames since he's moving abroad and got a real copy of FFVII now. i can't believe they are selling for more than 10 bucks anywhere. the simple solution is just go online, find a ps1 mod chip install it and then find a torrent of FFVII in iso format. download, burn, enjoy 6/16/2006 7:18:38 PM |

Of all the things that sell on eBay for way more than they're worth, I wouldn't expect FFVII to be one of them. Glad I've still got mine. 6/16/2006 8:14:41 PM |

I don't know how, but I have two copies of this game; one my original, and the second a greatest hits that magically made its way to my collection of PS1 games while in the military.
Great game, by the way. 6/17/2006 10:25:40 AM |

I played FFVII a good while after it had been released, and I was ruined by that game. That was probably the first game I ever played at which I just couldn't put down. ...Well, that and the Legend of Zelda.
So a remake huh... wow! 6/17/2006 7:57:21 PM |
