this isnt a game i see myself playing for a long time especially after i maxed out level or whatever. since it doesnt have any form of pvp basically.

but i woud love to just level a character up in it and experience the world and explore Middle Earth

Yeah I knew it wouldn't attract the hardcore PVP players, but there isn't much of a reason to have PVP since it's not a good versus bad thing - it's basically the good guys with the fellowship races battling the evil.

So far this game has done nothing to merit anyone other than Tolkien fanboys playing it for a short period when it comes out. Information has been released so slowly and the game has been rewritten over and over the last few years. The screenshots are OK but the in-game video is less than impressive by current MMO standards. Plus, since this thing will most likely retail and go head-to-head against Vanguard I can't see it having any chance of success.

Also if you just registered for beta you most likely have no chance of getting in. There have been intricate guild networks and massive forum activity since the idea of the game was mentioned. Judging from my experience with Turbine's last beta process they won't let most people in until a final short open beta.

I got a free trial of this with my new laptop. After about an hour of downloading updates, it's currently "342%" done with about 3000 files (seriously) to go.

same here... played it for like 10 minutes, was too complicated but at the same time boring as shit
