I disagree, lousy footwork and hustle by the first baseman caused that throw to be an error. It certainly was not a great throw, but you would almost never see that in the majors with a decent first baseman. You cant expect to reach for a throw that is not in front of you if yo uare on the balls of your heels.

With that said, the combination of the throw and the first baseman's bad position and footwork blew that game.
