On Truth and Rumors today:

Quote :
"A league source with intimate knowledge of the applicable NCAA regulations tells us that Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis might have rendered quarterback Brady Quinn and other incoming seniors ineligible if, as ProFootballTalk.com previously has reported, Weis has directed the seniors with designs on pro football to pick their agents before the start of the 2006 season.
-- profootballtalk.com"

doesn't seem like there could be any truth to this. what could a coach do to make his entire senior class ineligible?

The NCAA would not be dumb enough to do this to Notre Dame. The tend to pick on small schools to make it look like the big schools are not cheating. See Kentucky basketball.

it says that he told them to pick an agent. if they do pick one and sign with one, then wouldn't that make them inelligible?

but if they just decided who they wanted to be their agent and just don't sign with them until after the season, then i wouldn't think there would be a problem with that since they don't technically have an agent.

Watch ND lose everybody any good and UNC beats them...

Then we get to hear more shit.

But at least it would prolly save Bunting's job.

Why? Have we not already beaten Notre Dame in a game that actually counts? With a bigger tv audience?

We must remember that Notre Dame BACKED OUT of their football date with us. They know that they have a better chance of beating UNCommunity College

This kind of thing happens all the time. But here's a few points. Unc is a better football team than NCSU. Deal with it. The two are not related at all as NCSU was not on the schedule until 2008. If they pulled out of usc or michigan or penn state or ... then you may have a point. But this is NCSU, where there is no stability and no guarantee of a .500 season in the post-Rivers era

so dont be stupid
