I was a Titanic buff long before that movie came out, and here are my thoughts on it:

1) the ship and it's sinking were awesome. The sheer visual aspects of the movie were great.
2) Historically, it was pretty accurate, except for the main love story
3) the love story was stupid. Leo was a terrible actor for the role, but was cast because middle school girls loved him.


Overall, it was a well made movie, but not a well cast movie.

While I wholeheartedly agree that the nudity makes it worth watching for at least five minutes, Kate Winslet was naked in pretty much every movie she was in for a number of years. Quills is much more entertaining.
