correct, the tigers are in first place by 2 games

unfortunately, with the records as they stand, 1rst place is meaningless, b/c you still have to be able to beat the sox (white or red) to get to the world series.

Watch out for the Royals bitches - they've won 9 of 12 and now have Joey Gathright to run all over the place. Actually they are playing better ball, but mainly it is because they are owning NL pitching to the tune of 9 runs per game. The trade for Gathright was steal though - stupid D-Rays (even though they had no place to play him, they could have gotten more).
