I've got a bunch of old 36 and 48" fans that I need to get rid of. They are decent, but the outside casings are rusted out so I think I might just scrap them. My question is how much could I expect to get for the copper out of the 3/4 to 1 hp motors? Are motors that small even worth taking off and trying to sell separately? Most of them would probably work, but they would be hard to sell as useful motors.

If you're going to sell it, now is the time to do it. Copper has been dropping dramatically lately.
