(not sure if this is in the right section??)
My mom told me tonight that a woman from her company is trying to find a good home for a 1 year old Golden. The dog is unfortunately in the middle of the divorce of its owners and neither can keep it and their "solution" is to put it down if it does not get adopted ASAP. (I think these people should be put down, but that's not what we're talking about here.)
I'd really hate to see this happen and if worse comes around, I'm going to take the dog even though I don't REALLY have room for one more dog sharing my bed at night.
She's going to send me all of the info on the adoption and the dog as soon as she can but if you're at all interested please let me know ASAP!
Thanks for reading and have a fun and safe holiday weekend!! 6/30/2006 10:20:08 PM |

I think there is a place called Golden Retriever Rescue That helps place goldens with good loving familys. I wish I could take it but already have a golden - good luck 7/1/2006 2:46:20 PM |

Neuse River Golden Retriever Rescue. They are needing fosters right now so I don't know if they are accepting any new dogs into the organization but it is definetly worth a try. http://www.goldenrescuenc.org They will at least put the dog in the referal section of the website.

You can actually give 1 year old goldens to some society for them to become seeing eye dogs. I think they really wanted you to have done at least some basic training in the first year like sit and stay to make them listen but you could still check into it. They would be helping out a good cause. 7/2/2006 12:34:00 AM |
