I just got back from wake county animal shelter (off newbern ave). they have A LOT of cats and kittens.
Dogs:
Female Rottie, knows commands and very frienldy
Male Blue Doberman. very nice dog. smaller than most males, so he might be a puppy
Brindle Ridgeback mix. I don't know if it is a male or female. It is brindle and has the ridge down the back.
Tri-color male Beagle. Nice dog
2 Blockhead black labs. I didn't interact with them but they seemed friendly. Very handsome.
Siberian Husky with blue eyes.
Husky mix with blue eyes.
Nice looking American Staffordshire Terrier. I don't know the sex, but they will not keep him long b/c of it's breed.
Lots of mix breed adults and A LOT of black mix breed puppies.
2 pitt mix puppies.
3 australian shepherd mixes. Blue self merle male ~6 months. Brindle male ~1.5 years. Red tri female, she looks young. Could be a mini, but she has a sheltie snout.
Shih Tzu adult. I don't know sex. Seemed friendly.

That is all I can remember right now. If you want a dog or cat, go there and check them out. All of the purebred rescues have been contacted about these dogs and they are all full.

The dog section wasn't full like the cat section was, that is why i worded the first line like I did. and no they aren't all staying with me.

the shelter will be "empty" in a couple days, they will all be adopted and not killed........if that makes you feel better thinking that

I can't believe I forgot this one, but they had a chocolate labradoodle there as well. Nice looking dog.

almost all of the dogs they have listed on that webpage are not there anymore.

and I made a mistake the labradoodle is black not chocolate.
