Can you run subs and an amp of of a factory installed alpine 6 disc changer? If so can anyone help me install it? good recomendations on place to find cheap used euquiptment?

by changer, you are implying that it's an in-dash changer, correct?
but yes, you can run an amp off a factory head unit. you need to get a line-out converter. you just wire it up to the speaker outputs from the head unit and plug in the rca cables to it to give the amp signal. 7/2/2006 6:38:55 PM |

^well you dont need an LOC if the amp has high level imputs

if you don't have high level inputs then get a decent line-out converter, not the cheap walmart brand, they typically have a lot of noise in them. 7/2/2006 9:10:45 PM |

ok- well heres the deal...Want to hook up a small system for the girlfriend new car... I found a nice ass set of diamond 10's in a box but need to find a decent amp to run them for relatively cheap

i have a buddy selling a memphis m3 12- It had a small hole from a screwdriver in the surround but it was filled- $50
