^it's hard to find a good mechanic these days. You may be one, but from what I've found most of them take shortcuts, don't know what they're doing, or think the customer is an idiot knows nothing about cars and trys to rip them off. And rarely do you find one that knows a lot about electrical. Recommend a good one in Charlotte for me that will not rip my dad off. I simply can't afford a mechanic and do all my own car work.

I needed a CV boot replaced while in school. Took it to a shop and asked how much for a new boot... $70 installed. Okay so how much more to go ahead and do the other one on that side since we're already there... another $70. I mean seriously it takes how much longer to do the other one 10 minutes. That's just one example.

not really my problem, if you don't know how to fix it and arent willing to pay for someone who does to spend their time fixing it, then it just wont get fixed, its real simple how stuff like that works

Let me rephrase that. I've never had a problem getting something fixed myself. My dad can also fix his own car, however, he doesn't have the time. He used a guy in Charlotte for several years but the guy moved. He's tried a couple of other places and they're both shady and would like a recommendation to take it to one "real mechanic" so he can put in to their paycheck.

So do you know of any trustworthy mechanics in Charlotte?
