I'm looking to buy a new laptop. One that is tough and durable. With at least 1 GB of Ram, 60 GB of hard drive, around a 15.4 inch screen. Has DVD/RW and cd/rw drive. A firewire port and at least 4 USB ports. And would it better to wait til after thanksgiving?

Also I'm looking for an external hard drive that has the cheapest gb per dollar doesn't matter what size and has a firewire port.

buying the drive and external enclosure separate will probably be your best bet in terms of price

Yeah you're right about buying the drive and the external enclosure seperate. I found a 250 gb hd for $80 on http://www.newegg.com thanks for the advice.

Didn't you just get that drive? and you've had nothing but problems with it? Return that piece of shit.
