#2 i race bikes and i'm good at it
#3 scrubbing road rash takes MUCH longer when you are scrubbing bare flesh with a brush, trying to get all the road grit, oil, sand etc out of your legs that was ground in there from sliding across the road. Not to mention scrubbing road rash hurts more than you can imagine.
#4 its more aerodynamic
#5 you show up to a race with hairy legs and you get harassed for having the hair
