Granted Greenville's not REALLY local, hear me out.

The Greenville RiverRock Music Festival is a FREE, day-long, live festival to support local music in the Greenville/Eastern North Carolina region. It will be on September 9 at the Toyota Amphitheatre in the Greenville Town Commons in downtown Greenville. The festival will feature 8 bands not only from eastern north carolina, but from all over the state, especially the triangle. All proceeds from the festival will go to charity.

Being that this event will be free for anyone to attend, we're relying totally on sponsors to fund the event. Until now.

We're getting a ton of band requests, definitely more than the 8 bands we'll have for the festival (and the 3 we'll have at the afterparty). To give as many bands as possible a chance to play as well as help us raise a few bucks to make this festival as awesome as we can, we've created the RiverRock Benefit Series.

The first of at least 3 shows will be on July 22nd and will feature 3 bands. Cover will be 5 dollars, and we'll also have a 50/50 raffle going on througout the night.

We'll also have a few more bands at the afterparty which will be held at the Phoenix in downtown Greenville. There will also be bands (including from the raleigh area) out there promoting themselves in our band fair. If you guys know anybody in a band tell them to sign up at the site to reserve a space for them to sell merchandise and network with other bands and venues.
