I've been looking through the NCSU library website, searched JStor and Google Scholar, and I'm trying to find a few more sites that offer reviews and crit. of American Lit. I need stuff that's already online that I can read.

Do any of you english majors have any advice or could you point me in the right direction?

Well those are mostly what I use. Did you also try Google Books? Sometimes they have collections of commentaries.

I got a few hits on one of the Englishy databases from the library website, but nothing major. Good luck.
