The NAACP was a useful organization during Segragation, however now they are interests have changed. They have turned into more of lobby group than a civil rights group, they wield almost as much power as the AARP, because if you disagree with them you are branded a racist and your character is smeared. They use scare tactics to get their way and corporations and governments buckle. The NAACP is all about Black Power and they only care about Blacks making them similar to the KKK.

i don't agree with comparing them to the KKK. but the target boycott seems a little absurd:

they're basically boycotting because they perceive them to be racist and because they didn't answer their survey. i'd be interested to see how many target stores are in the midwest and in areas where the black population isn't very high (thus there wouldn't be much point in advertising to blacks nor would there be that many black workers to hire).
