Fuck all these job threads.

What do you do outside of work?

I know some of you people lead interesting lives outside of the 9-5 routine.

Do you volunteer?
Play a sport?
Get drunk and fight bums?

Share it.

I volunteer (OMG i use my degree to help people, not to make money )

and I'm in a band

Other that that, I feel like I spend a lot of time cleaning, laundry, walking the dog, errands, etc. I used to think that I would have so much free time when I got out of school...but WHERE DID IT ALL GO??

I take photos for a drum and bass website, create editorial content for said website, and moderate the forum on said website.

I also work for a dubstep label, and do loads of marketing/pr/general business type stuff there.

I also like to go out to bars, hang out with friends, and update my work (and outside work) wardrobe, travel, and generally live my life, enjoy my friends, and be active.

Yoga to be added as soon as I go to physical therapy for my wrist, and I"ve been taking massive advantage of the pool lately as well - go figure .

I play church softball with various churches that I do not attend. They like my glove work, and getting on base isn't a problem, so I'm the town free agent.

No. Get your head out of the damn office.

Although fucking your colleagues has the potential to create interesting situations outside of the workplace, it's not what we're looking for.

my schedule

8-5 - work
5:30-6:30ish play with the dog
6:30-8:30 gym

then it's shower, dinner and maybe an hour or so of tv then it's bed. I pretty much have no life during the week. My girlfriend lives an hour away, so i don't get to see her much but on the weekends.

i walk my dog and keep the house picked up. i do laundry. try to keep my garden alive in this heat. weekends my bf and i will go bike riding. if i can ever get this last room unpacked i would get back into painting. i spend a lot of time relaxing and NOT thinking about work which usually means getting lost in a law and order episode (which is almost like work considering what i do...damn!) or a movie. hang out with friends. i have a meeting i go to every thursday nights. and if i'd ever find someone to play tennis with me regularly i'd do that...

seems like as i get older though there's more planned things to do over the weekend and i can only hope that it calms down evenutally...someone's getting married so there's this party, or that shower, or this bachlorette get away...like every weekend from now until october is pretty much planned with having to go to SOMETHING or someone's coming to visit...the only one i'm actually looking forward to is my vacation planned for labor day weekend.

eventually i just got to learn to say no so that i can focus on my life here in this house with my bf.

I've wound up doing a lot of drinking. We go to see bands and try new bars all the time. I'm trying to get involved with "legitimate" activities -- Brooklyn Young Republicans and a couple of meetup.com groups. I'm so damn lazy, though. I live with the wife though, so that doesn't help my motivation.

I get home from my day job and right to another job, I'm an editor for a fairly popular tech site.

That'll chill out some when I get married in a month, then my afternoons will likely consist of a mix of editing, cooking, running, sex, church functions (softball and the like), and watching TV shows/movies together.

During the week I hang out with my girlfriend, go to the gym, or work on my house.

On the weekends I'm usually hiking, wakeboarding, or swimming.

Last weekend I took a break from my routine and went whitewater rafting on the Nantahala (SP?) I wasn't too impressed with the river itself, but it was fun nonetheless.

I took up Golf.

Usually I do errands, laundry, garden or socialize. I am usually worn out that I watch TV shows that I missed during the school year. I am actually looking forward to going back to school because of the free time not sitting at a desk or a court room.

I read at least a book a week, play with the cats, play computer games with the husband, and try not to think about work.

I watch a lot of movies. I kind of fell off with regards to reading for a while, but I've been reading more in the past few months. I make pretty bad music, but I enjoy making it, so whatever. I used to do a lot of writing, but I haven't at all in a year or two. I really need to get back into that. I go to a lot of shows when the opportunity presents itself, but the past month or two has been a dry spot. I play World of Warcraft, but only about once a week (not counting the five minutes or so of checking my auctions). I dunno. I'm a pretty boring guy. Oh, and I drink. But not as much as I used to.
