move the fridge
catch the rabbit without hurting it.
then find some sort of humane society to take care of it because its obviously not going to survive natural selection by itself if it stuck itself behind a refridgerator. 7/23/2006 7:49:42 PM |

well if you end up getting it safely out from behind the fridge, then put it in a box with soft towels, and call Piedmont Wildlife Center 872-9453 and they will tell you what we can do for it or refer you to a rehabber (I am an intern there).
You won't get a return phone call until the morning though, so leave a message 7/23/2006 8:27:25 PM |

By "in" fridge, I assume that the rabbit might be in the internal electrical components of the fridge rather than the actual food compartment. This could be bad. Your soft adorable bunny might already be electrocuted.
On the other side, you could talk to snake guy who posted a thread in the Lounge, and you guys might work something out for him to save money and you to get rid of your bunny.

I would say block off all entrances except for one with cardboard or something, and just watch that one entrance. Put a tupperware container with food in it on its side so the baby can get in it. Even though it is young food will likely still attract it. They'll nibble early on even though they're not really getting nutrients from it yet. And when it emerges far enough block off that last entrance with more cardboard or tip the container, etc. And good luck? 7/24/2006 5:50:53 AM |

My parents used to have a humane rodent trap. So whenever my hamster got out they would just set that sucker up and put a piece of food in it. It usually took like 15 minutes of the house being quiet for them to come out. 7/24/2006 10:27:00 PM |

^^It was still big enough for a small rabbit. The point was its a trap, and it doesn't hurt the furry pet. 7/24/2006 11:06:37 PM |
