I'd like to get I guess around 8+/- varied-size stone slabs for decoration in my new apt. Something like in the picture below, except separated pieces. I checked Lowe's and Home Depot websites and Googled it but found no good resources. If anyone knows where I can look for that sort of thing, I'd appreciate that info as well.

There is some kind of rock/stone place on hillsbourough street past the fair grounds away from campus. I have NO idea if they have what you're looking for, but it might not be a bad place to check at least. 7/23/2006 10:18:48 PM |

Ncsutiger, you know they have a special type of concrete that can be polished to look exactly like stone, and it's 10x cheaper and shapeable 7/24/2006 12:19:28 PM |

We went to Bele Chere and stayed with at the home of our friend's parents and when I mentioned that I wanted stones like what they have in their landscaping, his dad helped me round some up, so I'm good to go 8/7/2006 10:24:06 PM |

I've got some big chunks of polished granite (from kitchen counter tops) that I'd sell cheap if you want to add something different. 8/7/2006 11:06:42 PM |

Can't recall the name of it but if your near Apex, there is a business selling these goods on Hwy 55 heading from Apex to Durham on the right. 8/8/2006 7:56:41 AM |
