that server only works if you are on the ncsu network - you should use sprint's smtp server

i thought they set up that smtp server so you could use it without being on the ncsu server

and the smtp sprint server wont let you send out email without it being from your spring mail

i'm not wasting my time looking up whether they did or not - but it sure does appear they didn't set it up that way...

setup your own smtp server

Here's what I did: emailed the help desk & told them to permanantly forward all my Webmail to my gmail account. The PPC-6700 makes setting up your Gmail painfully easy, so now getting my Webmail on my PPC is easy also.

you dont need to fucking call someone and waste their time to setup an email forwarding rule. login to webmail.ncsu.edu and make a rule yourself

[Edited on July 24, 2006 at 12:16 PM. Reason : and no, smtp access has never been permitted to people outside of ncsu's subnets, besides UT]

calling, emailing, it doesn't really matter. bothering someone because you can't just follow the publicly available directions really just bugs the shit out of me.
