is it just me or is this a ridiculous idea

seems like everyone is going crazy just because he's had a rough few weeks

this happening at the trading deadline has only increased the media fury

This is going on because the NY fans are a bunch of shi$\ heads. The guy is last years MVP and a very good hitter. If the NY fans want to get bent out of shape why not put that "GOD" Jeter over at 3rd. Talk about over rated. This guys is no where near the numbers that Alex has put up but gets a pass.

only the yankees would pay that kind of money for Arod right now
and the yankees asking price for him would be rediculous

the tigers have some money to spend but they would have to give up one of their good young pitchers

i'd say pujols has been better since 2000
then i'd say jeter as far as all around player

no better clubhouse guy or all around player than jeter

santana is going to not make it into his 30s with the torque he puts on his shoulder

jeter has way better defense
jeter only a little better clubhouse guy

but pujols is a better hitter than anyone by far

dude pujols is not a clubhouse leader, the biggest knock on him is he is not outspoken and isolates himself

Im sorry dude but taking Jeter over Arod is pretty silly.

Jeter is a singles hitter.

Arod is a power hitter who normally hits for high average and he's the superior defensive SS as well.

ARod at like $16 million a season is a good deal for the Yankees. Jeter at $20 million is a complete ripoff.

I know that you know a lot about baseball boobs, but you're out of your mind on this one...

Jeter is a solid player and there's no doubt he's a proven playoff performer.

But jeter's name will never enter an MVP discussion, his gold gloves are laughable because he consistently finishes near the bottom in range, and honestly his OPS and SLG numbers just get dwarved by ARod's...

Add that to the fact the Yankees are actually paying more for Jeter's services than they are ARod's...

Jeter has been one of the few constants for the Yankees over the years and that has been invaluable to them. They are paying out the ass for him now to make up for underpaying him in his prime.

I just made that up.

jeter has been making $5m since 99 $10m since 2000 and $15m since 2003

i'd have to go with A-Rod and if he were on my team, i'd put his ass back at SS since he obviously boots the ball around at 3rd

What kind of jibberish is this?

He has led MLB in runs the past 2 years. He is a SMART and solid baserunner. He stole like 15 bases last year which is good for a power-hitting 1st basemen.

Pujols is a clutch player and SHOULD win the NL Gold Glove at first this year, his fielding is as good as any 1st basemen now.

rallydurham wins this argument. Jeter's defense is super over-rated and he'll never put up the OPS that A-Rod does. I'd take A-Rod over Jeter every day of the week unless you needed someone for a team like the Phillies that needs a leader and already has hitting. In a situation like that I'd consider Jeter.

A-Rod the SS is a different story than A-Rod the 3B

I still take jeter the SS over A-Rod the 3B

I hate this shit. How do you really know this? Because of what you read in the newspapers and see on tv? Who the hell knows who the best "clubhouse guy" is in the MLB (whatever the fuck that means)

And while having a guy that gets along with teammates, leads by example, etc... certainly isn't a bad thing... it doesn't exactly win games.

because former cardinals have said that pujols is basically passive in the clubhouse
