^Well, I suppose that wouldn't be any different than dating a quadroplegic.
Hmm, well, probably not off the bat. However, if Kevin suddenly became wheelchair bound, etc, I would continue to be with him, that would not want me to end the relationship.

It would depend...
Something like diabetes and such where through care and such the person can have at least a semi normal life (a parapalegic qualifies here, a quadrapalegic probably doesnt...), then sure.
If we're talkling something that will render the person mentally or physically to the point where they need a full time 100% caretaker, I wouldn't. But that's not to say that noone should, but I am not that selfless of a person, and I dont think it would work out.
As for the huntingtons, it can be tested for, if the person has it, i'm not sure i would. But if i did, I wouldn't have kids with them (well...in the hypothetical land where I'm able to have children). Adoption would be a definitive there (but it already is b/c of me so...but for someone who it's not) 7/24/2006 2:27:36 PM |

depending on how she takes care of diabetes, it's NOT a major deal. the limited mobility is another thing, but i would not let diabetes turn you away from the girl (or guy). 7/24/2006 3:06:07 PM |

Dating leads to relationship. Relationship leads to marriage. Marriage leads to children.
Procreation is instinctive to all animals. Sounds like she can't handle a kid growing in her womb. So no.

i have poly cystic ovarian syndrome, and if I really wanted to I could do all the fertility drugs and crap like that but I'd prefer to just adopt if I really want kids 8/10/2006 12:31:01 PM |
