Stocking a lab that will be used for some design projects. We have the basics so I'm trying to think of some other stuff that might get used, I figure a tap and die would be important for machined prototype parts. Any other tools you think we could use? 7/24/2006 6:27:49 PM |

I meant the tap and die set from harbor freight, get a quality cnc mill, but I'd get the rest at harbor freight 7/24/2006 8:34:14 PM |

Let me clarify, this not a machine shop all that is somewhere else. This is where assembly, testing, and tinkering will be done.

you need a mcmaster catalog, buy in bulk because they wear out and can break if used incorrectly. 7/26/2006 8:10:30 PM |

i'm not trying to tap titanium or anything, but for chasing bolts/threads and for fixing things that get marred up/crossthreaded, etc my set has been working fine. *shrug* 7/27/2006 10:56:44 AM |
