It's really 2.5Gb/s shared among multiple subscribers. Realistically, it's a little under 100Mbps down, and about half of that up.

However, it still blows any residential broadband we have out of the water.

you can get internet and cable here for that much. and you can use services like google talk, etc with your internet service. if the 2.5 Gb/s stuff is true, then that would be pretty awesome, but i'm assuming that's exaggerated.

What good is it if content can't be delivered that quickly? In some cases, they'll have to wait for content providers to upgrade their infrastructure just to serve it up at those speeds.
