I bought a passat and the timing belt broke almost immediately after I bought it. If you know someone who can check out the valves and what not please let me know. thanks its the 1.8t by the way

Instead of cheap, I'd look for someone who knows what they're doing. There are a lot of mechanics out there, but there aren't very many good ones.

^^ are you asking if the 1.8t in an interference engine.. contrary to popular belief, yes, it is an interference engine.

^ i agree.. evan @ absolute is the man, tho... not the cheapest, but he'll do it the right way..
