This happens to me now every time i am online.... Mozilla is the cause of the error i think. i googled it and everyone seems to have this problem w/o finding a solution... can anyone help me fix this ?

allthat comes up is "XP COM: Event Receiver" - and it keeps trying to close the prog. but it never does. and i have to hold down my power button to turn off the damn computer.

Check out what extensions you have installed for Firefox. Odds are one of the extensions are causing this problem.

In Firefox - click Tools and go to Extensions. This should list what you have installed.

DOM Inspector and Talkback

should i uninstall them? i dont ever recall downloading either of these two things...

Yea, might as well uninstall them. It won't hurt anything.

I'm fairly certain it's the DOM Inspector that's causing this though.
