images have surfaced online of the long-awaited type-s.
286 hp 258 lb-ft
looks great, but they should have brought hp up to 300 to compete with the G35 and the IS350, both rated at 306 hp.
more pics at http://www.leftlanenews.com/2006/08/09/more-on-the-2007-acura-tl-type-s
btw, there seem to be 2 distinct versions; compare the tail lights, wheels, and tailpipes between the black and grey cars. kind of strange, don't know what acura's intentions are. i say go for the grey car, looks more aggressive.

According to the badges on the trunk... Black one is TL, Grey one is TL Type-S.8/9/2006 9:15:41 AM |

OH SHIT
I am such an idiot
The article was about Type-S, so I thought both were Type-S. I didn't bother looking at the badges 8/9/2006 9:18:52 AM |

No one's gonna take Acura seriously until the TL is RWD. 8/9/2006 1:09:35 PM |

AWD TL-S would be our next car... TL will probably be our next car anyways... we have nothing but love for our TSX
but the wifey is also looking hard at the Lexus IS 350 or 250 AWD and the G35x 8/9/2006 1:33:08 PM |

I don't know what Honda's big boner for FWD luxury cars is all about.
If you want to take that class, you need a better performing RWD car.
Not a almost-as-good FWD car. Those people have money, they can afford to pay more. 8/10/2006 1:21:42 AM |

2007 Acura MDX
Is it just me, or does it look too mch like the Saturn SUV (Vue?) from the front? Gorgeous interior, though! And BTW, the TL in the pics above, esp. the Type-S, looks too much like an American mid-size car from the back, like some Buick. Who is designing Japanese cars these days?

Heh, the front end of that MDX reminds me too much of an aztek.
Japanese cars have been getting weird looking as of late. 8/26/2006 2:15:46 AM |
