the keyless system on my e34 540 just stopped working today. I don't think the battery ran out because the LED is still blinking when I push on the buttons. Does anybody have any tip?

well, its easiest and cheapest if you carefully replace the battery in the handset first. or, you could try taking your question over to the 5 series forums...

if you decide to take it to a shop, ill be happy to fix it for you at RCH. ill even throw in a free oil change.

lights on tv remotes and other shit still blink when the batteries are too dead to make it work properly. probably just the battery.

put on the new battery about 10 mins ago, everything seems to work good so far. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
