Perhaps the Isreal-Lebanon conflict is most interesting because of the blatently obvious level of propaganda surrounding it. Because of the nature of this event, image and time manipulation that normally occurs among our media sources has been fleshed out to such an extent that it's really obvious.
This video shows a staged 'rescue' operation: one of several. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vPAkc5CLgc&eurl=

And, if any link nazis want more links just to make sure this isn't one site finding it, but in fact everyone: http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?c=JPArticle&cid=1154525850241&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3287774,00.html http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/?entry=21956_Reuters_Doctoring_Photos_from_Beirut&only
So the question is: are media agencies just really incompetant, and is the anti-Isreal theme just a coincidence caused by photographers and reporters trying to 'make it big', or is there some concerted effort, possibly by Hezbollah, possibly by someone else, to intentionally plant that message into news reports? I think it's a bit of both, honestly. 8/11/2006 10:46:31 PM |
