I just got a new laptop and have not downloaded anything on it other than updates from Microsoft and my virus protection program. I recently shut it down and Microsoft installed some more updates. When I rebooted I got this message: "lsass.exe - bad image. Application or dll c:\\windows\system32\DNSAPI.dll is not a valid windows image. Please check against installation diskette." This happens before windows loads and after you click OK it just sits there frozen. I can't get into my system to do any sort of can or anything. You can't even use crtl+alt+del. Any suggestions or has anyone else had this problem?

What network did you plug your laptop into while you were receiving the updates?

I just connected it to my home wireless network. Same as my desktop. It seems like I was able to boot it up once fine, but then the second time is when the error message started showing up. So now I don't want to shut down my desktop as a similar update was being installed on it when I shut it down once earlier today.
