I managed to fit my car into this spot upon my return from the beach. Both cars were there when I parked. Craziness!
Yeah I'm the man

about 2 minutes, lol.
Well, actually i looked out my window a few minutes ago and the car behind me left. He clearly didn't hit me b/c I would have heard my alarm.
Plus its not really about trusting others. Alternate side parking is in effect on my street 4 of 5 weekdays and this was probably the only parking spot I could use within a ten block radius.

One time I came back to find my truck surrounded by cars a little closer than the ones in that pic.

I definitely would've removed some bumpers before that was done.
Nice job. I actually have never tried to parallel park. I just look for the proper spots, or park where there's enough room that I don't have to back in to park proper. 8/16/2006 12:02:57 AM |

it's true! i saw it!
I also saw a car try to park today and back into another one where the lady was still in her car in the West Village. I thought of you PattyCakes! 8/16/2006 1:06:11 AM |

one of my favorite past times is watching people try to parallel park on horne st. i've seen one lady attempt for a good 15mins to get into a spot. a good size spot too. 8/16/2006 1:48:47 AM |

I... don't believe you. If at least one of the cars was left w/out the parking brake (and not automatic), then maybe, but otherwise, no. Basically, not without significant of either/both cars. Ahmet 8/16/2006 2:31:24 AM |

haha, one time I rode with Anup over to the house, and he tried to parallel park on horne, and failed miserably, and there was easily room for two cars.
I had to get out and park it for him. 8/16/2006 11:28:58 AM |

^^^^thats fine if you don't believe me, it doesn't hurt. But its the truth. To be honest however, I did bump the Maxima behind me 2-3 times. However, neither time did that car move, plus its not like I did any damage manuvering around at 1 mph 8/16/2006 1:05:21 PM |

Bumping cars is pretty standard practice in places where you have to parallel park often. Not everybody taps others at 1mph either, I've seen some girl in a late model Accord ram several cars in Manhattan once, while "parking"... Ahmet

someone parked behind me on glenwood super close one time and I didnt have much room in front, so I just rode up his bumper with my bumper and left his car a nice suprise. 8/16/2006 2:13:04 PM |
